listen boyz , i'm here in person , so dont contradict me plz... this song (my song) is not about drugs , especialy LSD.Dylan took drugs , but his consummation was limited in marijuana , he took LSd a few times while concerts , but not to write. the early 60s was the golden age of psychedelia , symbolized by all the rock bands of this period,the album " Bringing It All Back Home" was about bringing rock'n'roll from britain to his native land,usa.so Dylan wrote this psychedelic song, but when we say "psychedelic" , it's automatically associted with drugs,just cuz it has the same traces of the drugs effect.Psychedelia means PICTURESQUE & IMPLIED WORDS, and that's what he did... A good songwriter such as Dylan can make this without drugs,this is the main caracteristic of the poem.If not , all the poets are junckies or juiceheads ... |
