Opeth – Deliverance Lyrics
|
It is as everyone has already understood, about a killer who suffers fits of rage in which he must kill and is lead by Satanic forces to do evil.
After drowning his victim the fog clears, but he knows now that he has taken the breath of life away from a living creature, and that salvation lies far away from him. |

Note that the Jah mentioned is not YHWH of Judaism and Christianity, but the Jah of the Ras Tafari movement, who is also referenced in Get Up, Stand Up ("mighty god is a living man").

Mastodon – Ol'e Nessie Lyrics
|
The title confuses the true meaning of the song. The lyrics themselves describe being separated from a loved one by some ulterior force. And then in a Mastodonic twist, physical imagery is added to give the lyrics a more metaphorical and symbolic feel. The lyrics of the song, when applied to the loch ness monster, creates a feeling of Nessie being trapped and separated from the other creatures of his kind, perhaps? |

Porcupine Tree – Collapse The Light Into Earth Lyrics

the above post makes the most sense to me, especially because of the last line of the second verse:
but I wouldn't stop you if you wanted to stay
He tells him/her that she's free to go, but wants him her to stay |

Dying Fetus – Praise The Lord (opium Of The Masses) Lyrics
| 17 years ago

Organizing means dilution, and results in persecution
Through it all I keep a vision, understand what I believe in
Truth is not the faith you follow, it’s far more than you can ever know
Definitely their best song, great riffs, especially the crunchy, groovy intro, catchy vocal lines, and of course inhuman drumming and screams |

"aliens" can be foreigners, as is the original meaning of the word, not necessarily extraterrestrial aliens...

Queens of the Stone Age – Someones in the Wolf Lyrics

"So glad you could stay forever" reminds of a line from the Slayer song "Dead Skin Mask" where he sings "Now that you've arrived, please stay awhile, I promise I wont keep you long.. I'll keep you forever" |

Nile – Nas Akhu Khan She En Asbiu Lyrics
|
Yes, and if I remember correctly, these lyrics are extracts from an ancient text dealing with the punishment of sinners in the afterlife, a subject also explored in other Nile songs like "The Burning Pits of the Duat". |
