Okay, I certainly don't agree about the meaning of the song, but I do agree that it is not hopeful or romantic. I see that the speaker in the song is directing her words to another woman, an ex-lover, of her current lover. It seems as if the former girlfriend has told the speaker that the boyfriend is secretly seeing her, too, and that they are in love: The speaker is trying to convince herself that it is not true. |

I think this song is hard to decifer, but after years of listening to it, I have decided on a pretty resonable thought on things. I think, the friend who died, the friend in the picture, is the speaker's highschool love, and that they had a child together: Annie. When "Annie got married, it didn't come without tears" the speaker thinks of her dead mother, all the memories they shared together, and all the memories of his child growing up. As far as the part about the friend's mother and telling the truth, I think maybe Annie dosen't know the speaker is her father, and he wants to tell her who he is before he gets too old and dosen't remember his memories of her mother anymore. |

I'm such a huge soco fan, and i think maybe this song is replacing konstantine as my favorite, but it varies depending upon what mood im in. Andrew is a wonderful writer, i met him a while back at warped, and i wanted to tell him so many things, about how every word he writes hits so deeply with me and instead i just stood there going omg omg, i managed to stutter that konstantine was the most beautiful song ever but that was the best that i could do. this song is so beautiful when the violin comes in, its like its playing inside you. well with me anyway, i can feel it when it plays, it makes me want to cry everytime i hear it

This is my favorite song on Leaving through the Window. I love it so much, its strange how simple lines in songs bring memories and feelings so easily. The first part of the song says so much, "Light breaks underneath a heavy door

This is the most beautiful song in the world to me, and it has nothing to do with it being emo, actually i didnt even know that it was emo. soco is a great band, i love everysong by them, i think theyre amazing. and if you dont think so why argue with those who do.

The "memory of a window" part is my favorite lines from any song ever, I love this song. It is my all time favorite 3eb song. They are the greatest band of all time. This song is very sad, it makes me cry almost everytime I hear it. I understand how hard it can be to leave someone you love, even if you know staying could be the end for you too. This song is a real representation of how love can kick you in the ass, and even though you know its hurting you its too hard to let go. Stephan really says it all with the "a sadness I cant erase, all alone on your face" statement.This is such a wonderful song. |

OK, so I'm a huge 3eb fan, and there are so so so so many songs to choose from, but this is deffinantly one of my favorites, the only song by 3eb that I love more than this one is God of Wine. This song is about someone that the speaker really loved- leaving him for unknown reasons, i dont actually think she died, but something happened between them that makes things unresolvable. He wishes there were something he could do to change the way things are between the two of them, he wishes that he could have her back, but he knows that he can not. Though still when he sees her, or thinks about her, he rembers exactly how much she means to him and wishes things were different, because no matter what, he will always love her. |

Basically, this song is self explainatory, I think this song kind of represents the way we all feel at times, especially in relationships. We feel as though we are failures, and are not good enough for anyone of anthing. Its a great song, I like to listen to it when I feel like a fuck up. |
