The song is catchy, it's ok I guess... but its not exactly the best thing for her to be 'singing' considering the age of most, if not all, of her fans.

This song is ok, catchy and light, nothing extra special or anything though.
It is FAR too over played too! :|
I think the reason it's doing well (apart from a hell of alot of people of a certain age group buying it) is because everyone has, at some point, felt everything in the song... not that they actually care about that or anything, but as long as thats what people think they will continue to be popular.
They're not stupid, that's for sure, they know exactly how to get people to part with their cash :p
(Well, the people who can't see thats all they're doing anyway!)
I don't mind this song, it would be better if it wasn't CONSTANTLY on the tv/radio though and I won't be buying it, but that's just me and my opinion :p :) |

Hmmm, ok... I have only just started really listening to metal and so far I have only really listened to Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth and a bit of Motorhead etc.
I seriously don't like Cannibal Corpse's lyrics BUT I would be willing to not base a whole opinion on a band just from looking at their lyrics.

Fear Of The Dark is just WOW!! I can't think of any words to describe it, it's just amazing. As for the meaning of it, well I think everyone can relate to it; it's about feeling scared, not of the dark as such, but of whatever is/could be lurking around in the dark. |
