Soilwork – Overload Lyrics | 19 years ago |
For me, this song is about not giving up no matter what and how many times you have failed. |
Breaking Benjamin – So Cold Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"Crowded streets are cleared away One by one Hollow heroes separate As they run" Definitely about war or other such catastrophy, hollow heroes meaning people fleeing and only caring about their own lives. "You're so cold, Keep your hand in mine" Two survivors and/or lovers in a hideout, suffering from the cold weather with nothing but each other warming them. "Wise men wonder while strong men die" About leadership? Can't say for sure. "Show me how it ends, it's alright" I think he's saying "Show me how it ends, this horror", so...pretty literal i think. "Show me how defenseless you really are Satisfied and empty inside" I think it's about a soldier, physically strong, but mentally suffering from fighting. Killing satisfies him, but he feels empty inside. "That's alright Lets give this another try" Us humans recovering from a catastrophy, our will to try again unweakened. "If you find your family, Don't you cry In this land of make believe, Dead and dry" Fear of losing? Grief for losing someone? "You're so cold but you feel alive Lay your hand on me One last time" The other survivor has died, but the other one still sadly holds her/his hand for the very last time. "It's Alright" The other survivor keeps telling himself this, when you listen to the singers tone, it keeps rising, as if he's fighting to overcome the grief, but in the very end of the song he sounds very sad, still saying "It's alright" and the song ends. :( |
