Nope I don't think so. He didn't kill the boy in the first verse he means that the boy was ahead of him in line for the executioner. I'm not sure if he is being executed aswell or if he means he just did time. Either way it's obviously about a convict sent to one of the camps in Tassie where all the recidivists were sent. Very nice Australia song. |

I'm hearing 'It's just a casual, easy thing'. Also...Marlana? Doesn't 'My love' fit a bit better? And i'm going for 'forget the lies' over lines as well as Autumn over Oscar. Saw them last night and felt like I was going to burst into tears...They are just such an incredible group. |

I dont think it has anything to do with any sort of relationship. It's about getting older and feeling resentment against yourself for all the things you didnt do in childhood. e.g 'eat more wild berries' To have more memories. Just give me moments is obviously a refference to wanting to deny that within yourself and tell your self youve made the most of your life. and the last line 'lets drive to brighton on the weekend' Is an attempt to try and begin to live life a bit more. |

Im not sure if anyone will take any notice of this comment as its been a while since the bobster made his comment but after reading everything he said i found it father amusing that no one thought to question what he said in relation to content. The fact is that Aaron Kosminski although considered one of the top suspects a jack the ripper was most certinally NOT a butcher, where the bobster got this idea from i have no idea but the only thing known about Kosminski's employment history was that he was in reports made by several people known to be close to him unemployed for a very long stretch of time & that at one period of his life when he was instutionalised into a mental hospital his occupation was listed as hair dresser. Just thought that was worth noting. |

I agree totally with Whill's earlier comment. It's definitily about Modern day relationships & how people always seem to ohld each other back. "baby youve got to be more discerning" He is talking about people (especially women) these days acting indifferent to everything in an attempt to not get close. "why so damn absent minded" & "dont get offended if i seem absent minded" remind me of people being feigning indifference to people saying they forgot to call or whatever. one of my all time favorite songs |
