| he sounds mean and angry, the truth is that such anger comes from love. Such anger has a cause right? why cant he turn to the cause to resolve the problems, instead of vengence which no good can come (my opinion). Love has a pull-1 point to another. Let anger subside and empathy make change. I guess thats just advice not an interpretation but such anger is baggage that only brings more pain. Never heard of this band, i'm ignorant. | |

great lyrics and impossible to not see the point for anyone who would read them. However, because things look dark, bleak and unfair, doesn't leave us with out life to live. So choices must be made and being dismal only makes this generation fullfill its perceived destiny. Any man with dignity needs to make a challenge of it all. In a sense we live in an age pure freedom, driving a car into closed gate into darkness. We could stop and wither or see how fast and hard we can smash through and with smiles wait to see what happens. Laughing all the way! why worry? why despair? Nothing to lose means nothing to lose. |

"just dont leave" turns into "just lonely" at the end of the song. I get in a sense that she is all ready gone but he is holding onto her because it hurts to much to accept. His love is really want and desire and weekness, not so much love but need. Without her he knows he is nothing. so he maybe is delusional and being in such need really believes that she is there still or simply holds onto her memory and and wont let it fade. Either way, true love should care for her enough to let her go in peace. Maybe our mourning is selfish if we let it become another entity. If there are ghosts or hauntings it seems this type of thing could be the cause. Like a ghost trapped in a world passed by but windows of hopeless hope from those left behind create a bond that will not break but unwilling eyes cant see that there are no chains. Holding onto someone lost may prevent them from moving on even after they die. maybe true and common, I don't know, and i'm not sure if i've done or do the same but it just makes me think of a spirit that cant see the path in death with its eyes fixed on what was and emotions that wont let go. Simply outstanding theme/lyrics, and something that should be considered more often in my opinion. I know I have thought about this myself alot recently and Christianity eludes to it by emhasizing that we shouldn't be attached to the things of this world. Mourning the loss of the things and people we care for, thats unavoidable if you care. It seems to me the focus should turn away from ourselves though and turn to the sacredness and well being of what was lossed. Holding on, prevents healing and stops time from doing its make over leading one to peace and joy of the love experienced. Tough task, but it certainly seems to be healthy for all to let go of whats gone. Goodness Davy, I don't even remeber the lyrics now, anyway you all are too smart to be this young. Too young to be this old? To stupid to be unreal. To supernatural to be natural. Hmm |

| i have to like these lyrics, good tone. The girl or guy who just doesn't fit the mold of anything to classify. People want order and understanding, when there is someone who you just cant figure and they are also reserved it makes the gallery nervous. Inturn the offbeat one receives the feedback and has to choose conform to something to let the eyes slide over her, or stay as is and begin to hate everyone and everything. When all someone has is hate inside they may smile, they may act a role, but there is a bomb inside. Its a matter of how its cared for. It could blow and errupt into violence, could be suicide, addiction, or as often seen a sickening pretension of of a realworld MTV character. Regardless, without any acceptance the person's ego will fight for something to grab onto when there is a glance or snicker. The ego could also turn on her as well and the helpless low self esteem thing happens. Sad. True. Interesting psychological stuff though. | |

| Chevelle is solid. The emotion in the vocals is what makes them standout. At first this song sucked my boobs but then for some reason I would be sitting somewhere chanting "am I alone in here". Its like sometimes I feel the world is revolving around me, especially when I want to be not noticed. These are the times when I feel most alone-when the world stops making any sense. But from the lyrics i'm making a wild stab at this is the soul that has become lost from a suicide and then realizes the body is still alive "a failed attempt? so the soul is torn to still belong to the man/woman but cant find it. Its not at rest. Its fun to try and make meaning of a song so obscure. i'll dream on it. | |
