Sarah Brightman – Canto Della Terra Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I loved this song when Andrea sang it by himself, but he and Sarah do a great job singing it together. Now if we could find somebody to translate. |
Sarah Brightman – Sarai Qui Lyrics | 15 years ago |
On her website you can hear bits and pieces of every song on the new CD, and when I heard the bit for this one I thought, that sounds just like There You'll Be, but in Italian. Well, it turns out that that is exactly what this song is, although I'm not sure if the words translate the same way. Nevertheless, the song is beautiful. I love it when Sarah takes a well known song and puts it in another language. She's done this before with My Heart Will Go On, which for her is now called Il Mio Cuore Va. Great job. |
Sarah Brightman – Pasión Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I had the privilege of watching the novella this song was the theme of, and before it was revealed who the singers were, I knew it was Sarah Brightman because she has such a unique voice and I could recognize it anywhere. I really liked that novella after that because I got to hear her sing the theme song. Now I'll just have to get my husband to translate the lyrics and we can see what she's singing about! I know it's something to do with passion... :D. |
Josh Groban – Remember Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I want this song played at my funeral someday. |
Sarah Brightman – Winter Light Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Why has no one commented on this? This song is absolutely beautiful. I first heard it on The Secret Garden, but I absolutely loved it when Sarah sang it. This is actually the first song I ever heard Sarah sing. It was on a commercial for Sarah's Classics CD, and I recognized it from the movie. After that, I was a Sarah fan. |
Charlotte Church – Sou-Gan Lyrics | 15 years ago |
English translation: To my Lullaby surrender, Warm and tender is my breast; Mother's arms with love caressing Lay their blessing on your rest; Nothing shall tonight alarm you, None shall harm you, have no fear; Lie contented, calmly slumber On your mother's breast, my dear. Here tonight I tightly hold you And enfold you while you sleep; Why, I wonder, are you smiling, Smiling in your slumber deep? Are the angels on you smiling And beguiling you with charm, While you also smile, my blossom, In my bosom soft and warm? Have no fear now, leaves are knocking, Gently knocking at our door; Have no fear now, waves are beating, Gently beating on the shore. Sleep, my darling, none shall harm you Nor alarm you, never cry, In my bosom sweetly smiling And beguiling those on high. Well, it's obviously a lullaby, and a very beautiful one at that. |
Charlotte Church – Lo, How a Rose e'er Blooming Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I played it in band a few years ago. I absolutely loved playing it because the french horn has so many awesome parts in it. Absolutely beautiful. |
Charlotte Church – Draw Tua Bethlehem/Far Over Bethlehem Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I can't believe no one's commented on this! I absolutely love this song. When I first heard it I fell in love with the melody. It's almost like a lullaby in some places, and then in others it's just so powerful. It's obviously about Christmas and the wise men and shepherds going to find Jesus. But even if it was all in Welsh, the melody is just too beautiful not to touch people. |
Danny Elfman – Kidnap The Sandy Claws Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I love the part that says "Kidnap the Sandy Claws, beat him with a stick!" How freaking hilarious! |
Sarah Brightman – No One Like You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I've never heard anyone hold out a note as long as she holds out the one at the end of this. Yes, it could just be some technical thing that makes it sound like she holds it out that long, but I wouldn't put it past her that she could really do it. The melody of this song is just beautiful. It's also obviously a love song, and a very sweet one at that. |
Sarah Brightman – Memory Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I first heard this song as "Piano" on Sarah's Encore album. I absolutely loved it, and knowing it in English makes me love it all the more. |
Sarah Brightman – Il Mio Cuore Va Lyrics | 15 years ago |
When I heard this song I thought "It's 'My Heart Will Go On' in Italian! Cool!" I don't know if the words translate the same, but I don't really care because the music is beautiful. |
Sarah Brightman – Captain Nemo Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song and the movie "A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" made me want to read "Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea." It wasn't my favorite book ever, but it helped me understand the song a bit better. |
Shakira – Las de la Intuicion (English Translation) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It should be 100% correct because it came straight off of the CD (the DVD side). |
Shakira – Las de la Intuicion (English Translation) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It should be 100% correct because it came straight off of the CD (the DVD side). |
Aerosmith – I Don't Want To Miss A Thing Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It's weird, but anytime I'm not really thinking about anything, just going on with my day, I'll stop and think and realize that this song is in my head. I swear it happens all the time and I never even try to think about it! It's really weird, but I like this song, so I don't really mind. I just smile every time I catch my mind "singing" it. |
Shakira – Obtener Un Si Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I tried to post the English translation I don't know how many times, but they wouldn't let me. Oh well, here it is: Obtain a Yes Oh, how I die for you How can I forget you In order to make me fall in love with you All you need to do is send flowers To obtain a yes My eyes have dark circles from staring so long at you And the worst part is that I still long to Wait for you Until you understand that I love you because you are clearly defined Like the soles of my feet Like love after making it Like your voice and your skin Oh, how I die for you How can I make myself forget you All you need to do is send flowers In order to enamor me To obtain a yes I love you because you are clearly defined Like the soles of my feet Like love after making it Like your voice and your skin Oh, how I die for you How can I forget you All you need to do to enamor me Is send me flowers To obtain a yes All you need to do to make me fall in love with you Is send me flowers To obtain a yes I thought this was a fun song and I liked her voice on it. It's cool to see her singing a different style. |
Shakira – Lo Imprescindible Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Well, how do you put accents on them? |
Shakira – La Pared Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is awesome. I love the acoustic version as well as the original. This song (in English) is obviously about a person who loves someone else so much that they never want to be without them. This song is their way of saying: "I love you, and I don't want to ever let you go." |
Nickel Creek – The Hand Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I cry just about every time I hear this song. Just thinking about what Jesus did for all of us, and for ME, brings tears to my eyes. And it's awesome that he would do it all again, just for one person. I think it's awesome that he could love us all so much that he would go through all that for us, even though he knows that a lot of us won't ever accept him. Even more amazing is that he loves us even when we're so deep in sin that we can't find our way out. He loves us even when we deny and betray him time and time again. If someone did that to me I don't know if I could keep taking them back. I'm so glad that he takes us back and forgives us. |
Nickel Creek – The Lighthouse's Tale Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I agree with everyone on this one, it's a very sad and moving song. Very powerful. I feel like crying when I hear it too. |
Nickel Creek – When You Come Back Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I loved this song the first time I heard it. I agree with just about all of you on the meaning, bcuz it can be for lots of different situations and relationships. Definitely one of my favorites. |
Emiliana Torrini – Gollum's Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
And free will definitely does exist. I said Jesus chose to go through that bcuz he couldn't stand the thought of living without us, but not everybody will choose him. He doesn't try to force anybody to choose him, and he never will. |
Emiliana Torrini – Gollum's Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I felt sympathy for him. It would've been cool if he could've changed and survived, but what would he do for the rest of his life, and where would he go? He spent so many years just thinking about the ring that there was really nothing left for him in life. All his old friends and family had already died. |
DC Talk – Jesus Freak Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I just wanted to clear up a few things. I know there's evidence of Jesus being here and every Christian and scientist can tell you the same thing. People that are skeptical can only go by what others say and by what the Bible says,(if they read it.) Not everybody believes that the Bible was written by God through men. Some believe that it was made up by people a long time ago and everyone just happened to believe them. So even though the evidence is there, many people won't accept it. All I'm trying to say is that sometimes you have to go beyond the evidence and just have faith. People always look for signs and facts and proof of everything, and that's ok if that's what it takes for you to believe. But there's so much more by simply believing. I've never seen an actual picture of Jesus, and that makes sense considering there weren't any cameras back then. I've never seen the actual 10 commandments or Noah's ark or anything that could be considered "proof" that any of it happened. So I just have to believe it. Yes, it'd be hard to believe if there wasn't proof at all, but you still have to just believe it because you'll probably never see the proof up close for yourself. Again, you have to believe that it's there. You're basically going by what other people are tell you: that there is proof everything in the Bible happened. But unless you believe them, everything they say won't mean a thing to you. One more thing I wanted to say is that when God says your "heart, soul, and mind", your mind is representing your spirit. I didn't make that up, my pastor preached on it a few Sundays ago. So by believing with your mind, you're believing with your spirit. Your spirit-man is pulling you towards God, and your flesh-man (or body, so to say) is pulling you towards hell. The soul is eternal, the thing that will spend eternity in heaven or hell. The spirit is also eternal. I guess what this is boiling down to is that your spirit doesn't need proof because it's calling you to God anyway. Your soul does if you don't have the faith. The way my pastor explained it is that your spirit and "body" are like the little angel and demon sitting on your shoulders telling you what you should or shouldn't do. Like your conscience. The "angel" part of your conscience is like your spirit. It's the good in you. God doesn't have to give us his grace and mercy, and this world won't always have it here, so while it's here, you could say it's a gift. our "good" conscience is a gift. James 1:17 says "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." By that, you could say that if you follow your "good" conscience, it usually won't let you down. If you put what your conscience says with the word of God and with prayer, then you won't go wrong. If you can't have faith in what it's telling you, then what good are facts? I'd rather believe in something that comes from God then by what some other person says is a fact. Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN." In reality, we haven't actually SEEN any physical proof that what the Bible says is true. I haven't, anyway. We BELIEVE what other people say about it, even though humans lie. So why should we believe any of it? That's where faith comes in. |
Drowning Pool – Bodies Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Sarah Brightman – La Lune Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Sarah Brightman – Gloomy Sunday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's said that right after this song was recorded, some people that heard it killed themselves. Some countries banned people from playing it. Eventually the writer killed himself because he couldn't write another hit after it. I don't know if it's true, but that's just what I read. I really like this song. It's kind of depressing, but if you listen to it all the way to the end, it has a good ending. |
Sarah Brightman – Figlio Perduto Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I've always loved this song. I wrote the words in English and a friend of mine and her ex made up their own thing about what it meant. They really messed it up! In English it says: Walls of wind Night has fallen Father and son are together With a horse they advance through this intense darkness But suddenly the boy trembles with fear It gets cold Father, oh father haven't you seen the king of the elves? There he is Lost son do you want to play? I bring you joy Come with me Father, oh father have you heard what he said and what he will do? Lost son if you don't come with me I'll use my power Father, oh father It's the king of the elves He is touching me He hurts me And the boy Eyes closed He doesn't move He's already lost Lost Lost son If you don't come with me I'll use my power Father, oh father It's the king of the elves He is touching me He hurts me And the boy Eyes closed He doesn't move He's already lost ....he's already lost It IS kind of creepy, but it's sill really cool. |
