Braddigan – Pura Vida Lyrics 19 years ago
yeah i was at that same show (as veritas at aequitas) it was amazing. that drummer kicked ass, both of them were dripping with sweat afterwords because of how hard they were jamming. the opening band was pretty good too, the music wasnt as amazing but their performnace was pretty funny.

Ben Harper – Burn One Down Lyrics 19 years ago
the funny thing is that there are only actually a few posts here that say this song is not about pot. so everyone else chill out a little, i mean those few people were pretty damn wrong as you all said, but most of the people here are on your side. so dont make it seem like the whole fucking world is stupid, when there are only a few people who dont see the pot connection. thanks for listening.

Ben Kweller – Lizzy Lyrics 19 years ago
what a great song. after i got through my phase of listening to falling over and over again, i decided to move on to the rest of the album and this song stuck out. i really think hes one of the best songwriters out there these days. his lyrics are amazing. this song is such a perfect love song but it doesn't include all the cliche lines that are usually in love songs. he just tells it like it is, "i'm so proud to know you." how could you possibly not smile when someone tells you that?? hes genious.

Streetlight Manifesto – A Better Place, A Better Time Lyrics 19 years ago
this is one of my favorite songs on the album. its got tons of meaning and still kicks ass with the horn section and everything.

they were awesome in concert, it was great when they played keasbey nights in the middle of point/counterpoint and tomas got confused and started singing the wrong song at the wrong time.

to comejoinus: RBF is emo with horns?? i've never heard that one before. i saw them in concert too, and there was nothing emo about it.

i haven't stopped listening to this song since i first heard it. it's so simple and yet it says it all.

Tegan and Sara – You Wouldn't Like Me Lyrics 19 years ago
i dont really think its about a long distance/online relationship like some of you said. i think its not that literal and its not that they actually havent met the person. i think its more about being afraid to show ones real self to someone because what if they dont like it? i know thats something lots of people worry about, me included. it sucks that people do hide their real selves, but it does happen, and i think this song expresses it really well.

Tegan and Sara – Walking with a Ghost Lyrics 19 years ago
wow i never realized how few words there are in this song. they just keep repeating things for emphasis, which i think is cool.

i think i agree with fascination street on the meaning, like how they keep repeating "out of my mind" as if to force someone out, but the truth is they can never fully get someone who was important to them out of their life or mind. i think thats a common thing to have to deal with. the video didnt really help me understand it better, but it was still cool to watch. keep it up tegan and sara, keep writing these awesome songs.

Tegan and Sara – Speak Slow Lyrics 19 years ago
this song is awesome. i just saw the music video and its just as awesome. i just love Tegan and Sara, practically every song on "So Jealous is amazing. they have this quirky, different kind of sound that works so well and their songs are so catchy. i'd love to see them in concert!

O.A.R. – Crazy Game Of Poker Lyrics 19 years ago
to samthemack43: i wouldnt call them a druggie band. of course a ton of awesome bands are, but i dont think OAR fits that catagory. About the religion question, im pretty sure Marc is jewish, i don't know about the other guys. but i think theyre all kind of zionists. at one of their concerts, marc introduced city on down as a song they wrote in israel so maybe its about israel, who knows. i agree with you about this song, so many people just here crazy game of poker and say they are huge fans before they even hear anything else. its kind of annoying but i guess that just goes to show how much of an awesome song this is.

Rent – Finale B Lyrics 19 years ago
This song (along with the rest of RENT) makes me so extremely sad that Jonathan Larson isn't still with us. His lyrics, his melodies, his harmonies...everything is so ingenious, especially the way it all fits together. This song is the perfect ending because it has just enough hope in it to keep us going without sounding the least bit cheesy. pure genious.

Braddigan – City On A Hill Lyrics 19 years ago
this song is amazing. i love the guitar and the melody. i really like how he says "bring all your hammers..." and then he goes on to say "and now loose your grip; we'll not need our hands today, we'll build a city as we pray." leave it to braddigan to throw in just enough symoblism and meaning that it really works without being too corny.

O.A.R. – About An Hour Ago Lyrics 19 years ago
Sorry I don't know about "the big grass show" question but I just wanted to say how much I love this song and I love how it has this kind of carefree feeling. O.A.R. can really capture stuff like that, espeically in concert, as everyone's been saying. I'm going to my fifth O.A.R. concert this friday and i can't wait, they're one of the best live bands ever.

Howie Day – Trouble in Here Lyrics 19 years ago
so has anyone else noticed that during the instrumental break, about 4:05 minutes into the song, that he is saying something really quietly in the background? i'm pretty sure theres really something there but i just can't understand it. if anyone knows what hes saying let me know because i'm really curious.

Braddigan – Pura Vida Lyrics 19 years ago
yeah i agree, its so braddigan. i guess it makes it a little easier to deal with the dispatch break up since braddigan is writing all these awesome songs on his own (i still wish they were together though!!) i actually first heard this song right after i got back from a trip to costa rica, which i think is where he wrote it, and its such an awesome song it made me want to go back. i love the guitar and harmonica mix in the beginning. also have you seen the music video? its on his website, its a cool video. if you havent seen it you should check it out. good stuff.
