I just got this CD. I'm a huge NIN fan. I always like this song and feel it so i decided to get the cd when i heard Trent was involved. Anyways I think that Jakalop is the otherside of Trent. Like the part of him that was influenced by Depeche Mode in the 80s. I'm glad they don't sound like NIN. Jakalope definately has a different sound going a mix of goth/rock/pop/industrial/synth/electronic. |

Its a B-side on All Because of You... Great Song, very beautiful...bono sounds kinda off key to me during the first verse but I could see it on a future album.
I think its about not understanding love but it still finds you even though you don't know why, and you might not want it to.
It also has that whole opposites attract theme. |

mishmeister the beauty of u2 is that bono writes songs so they can be interpreted in a variety of ways. This song is about Judas and Jesus but could to me, as i'm not religious is more about a relationship that wasn't so great at the beginning, and then after a while the people realized the loved they shared and things became good again. |

To me this song is about a family where the parents (father) cares more about money then providing love for his family. So the child looks for love in other places the brother...the lover...and finally feels love. And when the father offers the child, his life, he decides he rather have a life with love than money. |

It must just be mee but my favourite u2 cds are Pop and Zooropa. I love how different the songs on Pop are especially Mofo and Staring at the Sun. This song is soo beautiful. "not the only one who's happy to go blind " pefectly describes how people would rather look the otherway and go blind then face the problems that are existant on the earth and try to fix them because we are afraid of what we will find. |

This sounds soo much like Vertigo that the first time i heard it i just thought it was a Vertigo remix. Its interesting though, I wounder why they decided to change write different lyrics for the Vertigo music. Vertigo is a good song but this song definately has more meaning to it. More expect of u2, which is probably why the would choose to use Vertigo to try and be different, or atleast somewhat different.
This song is imo about gun control, like they've decided they want bullet the blue sky to be about now, it kinda feels like a soft version of bullet the blue sky to me, which is probably why they canned it.

This is one of my favourite u2 songs. It is definately about an angle or some sort of spirt. to answer atthedrive-in:
the lines about 7/11 and cigarettes is just telling the story of the things the person does to seem alive and is more clarified in - "You say when he hits you, you don't mind Because when he hurts you, you feel alive Is that what it is? " then in the lines "A vampire or a victim It depends on who's around " is just saying some people choose to stay in an abusive relationship (vampire) and others can't escape (victim) its a matter of opinion.
To me what really gets the point across that this is a spirtual being watching is the lines "And if you look, you look through me
And when you talk it's not to me
And when I touch you, you don't feel a thing " |

i never really knew what this song was about but once i read it was about heorin it made alot more sense. I reread the lyrics and they are sooo sad yet beautiful at the same time. This song has so much power and soul its the reason why u2 is the best band in the world |
