This was the first song of John's that I ever heard, and I was hooked from the first note. It's achingly beautiful. It's clear that he misses this girl and the way that their relationship used to be, somethiing that I'm sure that many people can relate to. I know I can. |

I can see how this song is tied to Leah's childhood abuse, as are many of her other songs.
However, I can not hear this song without thinking of a guy. Things ended really badly between us, and I never got any resolution on the issue. Truth be told, I'd really rather forget about it. The lines "Yes, I do need to be loved/And I used yours like a glove" describe our relationship, and everytime I see anything connected to him, I feel so much guilt over what happened... |
