He's obsessively stalking some girl named Velouria. Kinda creepy. Or he's getting high. |

This is like "Torn" by Natalie Umbruglia, except this is better cause it makes me more ashamed of being a guy. |

This song seems really Taoist, of all things. I doubt too many people would notice if the lyrics were placed as one of the verses in the Tao Te Ching. |

This is much like a generic Aimee Mann song... an Aimee Mann song of the type Jon Brion helped produce on the Magnolia soundtrack, except it'd be one of the better tracks because it's one of those excellent "instruction manuals" of love for an increasingly neurotic audience (seriously, Jon Brion has a thing for writing music to movies where neurotic people fall in love (Magnolia/Eternal Sunshine/Punch Drunk))
re: Punch Drunk Love, or the soundtrack thereof, totally sounds like it could be a Willie Wonka soundtrack. |

Common fact of gender studies: Men are like rubber bands. They feel that when something goes wrong, they have to right it out alone for a while, but they'll be back. |

Tori Amos – Original Sinsuality Lyrics

Tori Amos writes the only songs about religion I'd care to know about. If I were to put someone in charge of revising the bible, she'd be the one. Also, God needs a woman. |

Tori Amos – Goodbye Pisces Lyrics

This sounds like tradional Chinese music and as such, doesn't sound too much like a break up song. Perhaps she wrote the lyrics cause she's embarrased at her forray into this genre. Goodbye to a zodiac symbol, the breaking up of porcelain (china), bulls in a china shop; maybe she recently visited China. Seems too tame to be about break-up. Esp. for Tori. |
