Modest Mouse – Guilty Cocker Spaniels Lyrics | 14 years ago |
isaac brock is in his prime... just throwing that out there. |
Modest Mouse – Steam Engenius Lyrics | 17 years ago |
oh and, it's definitely "milky teat" it just makes sense. |
Modest Mouse – Steam Engenius Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"stasis is what you got..." not "stasisty's." that's not even a word. stasis is referring to the motionlessness of believing in deities. you're not going to make progress in life believing in a higher power. "i was born in a factory... what's the use?" two of my favorite lines. people created religion in their mind. or one could call a mind a mental factory. and jesus didn't choose to be a savior. what could he do? through most the album, i figured there would be no atheistic views. with this song, he proved me wrong. oh, brock, you atheistic mofo. |
Modest Mouse – Dashboard Lyrics | 17 years ago |
so we're at this point again, aren't we? another modest mouse album under a major record label. should i be a proper MM fan and enjoy this music, or should i be "indie" and dis on the band because pitchfork does? hmmm... oh the decisions... hell mr. indie. you may be thinking to yourself, "it doesn't sound like their old stuff" or, "it's so commercial." he he. funny thing about that is, you're right. it doesn't sound like their old stuff. because it's fucking NEW. "strange, new doesn't sound like old? i must hate this cd! it is horrible!" funny thing about saying this is commercial, mr. indie, is that you're probably saying this as you play it through your mom and dad's expensive home stereo system while eating a fat, greasy, hamburger from mcdonalds, you piece of shit. it's amazing that you would consider yourself indie, too. because you're thoughts are not independent. you're just jumping on the indie bandwagon (which is hilariously ironic) to further your truely independent lifestyle. how can you honestly say that this is a bad song. a bad cd? both are goddamned amazing, and i pity/hate you mr. indie. |
Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"i chime in with the same fucking chorus you've heard of one million times before, oh i cant believe im making money off of such unoriginality" Panic! fucking sucks my balls. |
Modest Mouse – So Much Beauty in Dirt Lyrics | 17 years ago |
two things sum this song up without even reading into it. 1. the title "so much beauty in dirt" 2. the line, "i never knew nothing so there's nothing to forget" 1=the most simple things in life are amazingly beautiful. people ignore what they have. 2= Isaac was obviously not surrounded by artificial, superficial needs, therefore he didn't worry about it ever. "out of sight, out of mind" and thats the best way to grow up. you can appreciate shit a lot more ie. dirt. |
Modest Mouse – Nothing New Lyrics | 17 years ago |
cheesenugget, I have two points to make: 1.) yes they did sell out on the Moon $ Antarctica, but they realllly "sold their souls" with Good New$. And i dont care, and if your a real Modest Mouse fan, you shouldn't, because would you rather 1. have Modest Mouse be broke and make no more music or 2. sell out, let the radio have a new flavor of the week then have Mouse continue back into underground obscurity? I choose the latter. Besides, i'd sell a couple of songs of mine if i ran out of beer/rent money. (not that i have any) 2.) no, teeny boppers shouldn't listen to good music. that's why they have their shitty music to listen to. the kind of music that has no meaning, or thought put into it. |
Modest Mouse – Crazy Gnome Lyrics | 17 years ago |
hhahahahha. my god brock is the shit |
Modest Mouse – Styrofoam Boots/It's All Nice on Ice, Alright Lyrics | 17 years ago |
by marijaunainmybrain on 02-07-2005 @ 02:57:23 PM "Its all nice on ice is definitely about crystal meth." no it isn't. you're a dumbass. and you're probably not even a stoner. |
Modest Mouse – Styrofoam Boots/It's All Nice on Ice, Alright Lyrics | 17 years ago |
As an atheist, i know exactly what Isaac was trying to relay with this song. Firstly, it shows the inner conflict (inside an atheist) of the debate of the existence a god or not. My friend tried making a comment that Isaac was a hypocrit, and i told him my idea then called him a dipshit. Secondly, it is saying that God (if there be one) takes care of himself, and you should take care of yourself, because god isn't going to do it for you (all you goddamn blind people following an idea so fucking literally (you're going to be the end of the damn world with your willingness to hand over your problems to "God")). As for "It's all nice on ice, alright", well I'm sure that's a random line where Isaac said, "Hey that sounds cool, i should put it in a song." Well there's that. |
Modest Mouse – Parasites Will Be Excited When You're Dead Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Good Charlotte – I Just Wanna Live Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"What does this song mean to you?" is what SongMeanings.net asked me. and i thought "What does this song mean to me?" All i can say is that i can shit a better song out of my ass (in contradiction to what many faggy wannabe punks believe). It would probably have better lyrics than this fuckin pile of fucking fuck has. |
Simple Plan – God Must Hate Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i hope simple plan does crash into a wall |
Simple Plan – God Must Hate Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Modest Mouse – Lounge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
nice reference to donnie darko, but this album was made a few years before donnie darko. id agree with stef, its about two young physical specimens just looking for a "good time" and the good time just adds to how their empty "clubbin'" life as its drawn on every day. |
Modest Mouse – Float On Lyrics | 19 years ago |
PS whoever doesnt know what this song means.. get a goddamn life or at least read the title of the fuckin song |
Modest Mouse – Float On Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i'll admit this song is what got me started into modest mouse..the new cd is quite good, but i still prefer Long Drive... over Good News anyday... it seems that isaac brock's lyrical songwriting just isnt the same as it once was in the later 90's.. oh and a ps to those who are bashing MM for commercial success, FUCK YOU. they deserve this.. they've been in this shit forFUCKINGever..10 years, goddamn. ill admit the OC was not a good move.. but hey, isaac can do what he fuckin wants, he wrote the damn songs. stop acting all psuedo-hardcore-indie-lover.. you cant be pissed at Isaac Brock... |
Modest Mouse – Birds vs. Worms Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this seems like a song that describes a relationship going sour.. its kinda like saying "i know we aren't going to get a long anymore, but we can still co-exist and live our own lives" |
Modest Mouse – The World at Large Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is one of those kick back and relax sorta songs... real nice in my opinion this song looks at the world as a huge being and his thoughts on being small in it and insignificant sometimes.. im not sure tho im new to this and isaac brock is one of the most complex minds in art nowadays. kudos to him |
