Faith No More – The Crab Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I know, and i don't care particulary for the "Introduce Yourself" version with Mosely. |
Faith No More – The Crab Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The meaning of this song is pretty obvious. I usually hate when people post without describing their opinion about the meaning of the song. Hell, I'll do it anyway. You just have to see the live video, from Brixton Academy, UK, 27 Nov 1992. Mike Patton reek of the emotions he's singing about, it's so amazing! |
R.E.M. – Be Mine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Well, both the lotus and peyote are hallucinogens. I just find it hard to believe the sentence "I'll eat the lotus and peyote" is in a sweet love song like this, without a meaning to it. (Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m not saying that hallucinogens are bad.) Perhaps I’m just over-interpreting the lyrics. |
Lovage – Sex (I'm A) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I find it interesting, why do you think it's about a Danish prostitute? |
R.E.M. – Be Mine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think this is a beautiful song, but something makes me think there is a deeper meaning to it. The line: "I'll eat the lotus and peyote." - was the first thing that made me doubt the otherwise so obvious meaning. There’s just something about the last verse I can’t put my finger on. |
Faith No More – Evidence Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I love this song, it's so funky and sexy. Well, I guess it's about rape, but as in "Edge of the World" which is about pedophilia, they make it sound romantic in a way only Faith No More can. The thing made me choose between oral sex, and rape was the title of the song, and the use of the word evidence. “Got to wash away the taste of evidence” – Surely you all know what the evidence is in this context. I get the idea that it’s the only evidence for this crime. He goes free, and she walks away with a bad taste in her mouth... |
Faith No More – Be Aggressive Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Taken from the Faith No More FAQ Be Aggressive Roddy, who came out in 1992, wrote the lyrics to this song. Roddy, when asked what the song was about in a 1992 interview for "The Advocate," replied "Swallowing. It was a pretty fun thing to write, knowing that Mike was going to have to put himself on the line and go up onstage and sing these vocals." |
Faith No More – Star A.D. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The “And when you die You'll become something worse than dead You'll become A legend” - part of the song, have always made me think of Kurt Cobain, and his famous quote “It’s better to burn out, than to fade away” --- The line below on my previous post, shouldn’t have been there. |

Faith No More – Edge Of The World Lyrics | 19 years ago |
At first I found this song very romantic, even though the line "It's not the point that I'm forty years older” really got me the first time I heard it. It's a hilarious song about pedophiles. – I don’t think a person other than Mike Patton could make this song sound as great, and romantic. |
