This is one of the first S&G songs I really loved, after "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Compared to that song, "Kathy's Song" is simple, straightforward and expresses love in a subtle and wonderful way. As you listen to it, sometimes it seems more as if it's spoken, rather than sung. You can almost picture Paul speaking these lyrics to Kathy over the phone, across the sea. |
