Lamb of God has some of the hardest, anti-establishment lyrics ever, its amazing that they are liberals, really if anything they are anarchists. "Its scary to be alive" not because Bush is leading but because people fucking suck. The government pays people to sit on their fucking asses and pop out more children. This one is strangely enough between a wolf and a scorpion falling in love and giving birth to anarchymongering hell spawn bent on rocking you like a hurricane. I just thought it was about suicide and how it ended their pain but brought about pain to everyone in his life. It didnt really hit me hard cause I have never been through a suicidal situation or someone out of rehab being self-righteous. I like matyreulogy's explanation. I am a christian (sort of) and i have seen Christians toss money to the church like nothing (when they could be doing what god wanted and give it to the poor directly not some institution that no one is really sure where the money goes). Also guys, Maynard isnt just anti-christian, the man is basically anti-religion, i think its the whole human run institution he doesnt like, but who really knows. Oh and, the davinci code is no revolution people, its just some weird words thrown together to just take your money. Nothing more, nothing less. The whole word is bent on money, even something that was once so holy as the church. Its sad and sick. |

I think this song is great. To be it is about two rebels (they could be jesus and his followers because he welcomed sinners) that are talking on their way to somewhere. They are talking about how their labors go unoticed and they feel used (so I think). As the song progresses the two reach this Tower (which could be the old ways in Jesus' time) and how thier is a social order their with servants. The last lines suggest that there is gonna be some conflict as the Joker and Theif approach the tower. Though im not sure it is about Jesus or not, I definitely think it is about disestablishmentarinism (sp?). Its about social injustice and how it needs to come down, so all are equal. Possibly one of my top five favorite songs. |

This song is amazing. It combines this rough, almost like stacatto chords into this beautiful melody. Hendrix was a god. I went to the Toronto Hard Rock Cafe and the guitar he used to play this song was there on the wall. I nearly creamed myself. This song reminds me of this girl I know. She is a free spirit and will cheer you up, even when she is down. I am getting a very religion creation story from this song. The first four lines give me that impretion.

-God gave us the land (vegetation and such)
-God was the beginning, the creator.
-On the seventh day he rested.
Also these next lines can be attributed to God.

-In the Old Testament, God casted plagues, wiped out the world with flood, and helped the israelites battle foes.
-Also he calls the Hebrews his chosen people so the woman could be the people of israel whom he will give himself too.
Well those last lines im not really seeing any connection. He could be talking about heaven and how all will be revealed when you pass on. Who knows. There is my two cents. Use it as you will.

You try to not love them anymore but it is almost impossible.
