Songs: Ohia – Just Be Simple Lyrics | 18 years ago |
" You never hear me talk about one day getting out Why put a new address on the same old loneliness" Pure poetry! |
Modest Mouse – Convenient Parking Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Incidentally, Sun Kil Moon (aka Mark Kozelek) redid this song on their Tiny Cities album. If you'd like to hear a completely different rendition of this awesome song check out the Tiny Cities version. |
Iron Maiden – Prowler Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Haha, I've got to say this the next time I'm with a hot chick. Can't you believe that feeling, can't you believe it, Can't you believe your eyes? It's the real thing girl. Yeah! |
Animal Collective – Who Could Win a Rabbit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Good song, wierd video: http://www.fat-cat.co.uk/amcollective_large.mov esp. at the end with the weird sounds and the rabbit eating the hare...way wierd. |
Bad Brains – Joshua's Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No question about where this song is taken from (The bible, Joshua and the Israelites' conquest of Jericho after a lengthy siege, in case you were wondering) What's cool is the ferocity with which they sing...nee...attack the song. True to the best of the Bad Brain's songs, this one only lasts about half a minute but the buildup and climax are amazing. The seeds of thrash metal can be found sprinkled amongst the fruits of the Bad Brains. |
Tenacious D – Karate Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I fell asleep listening to Tenacious D was wondering why I kept thinking "donkey crap" and how much I love satan... Damned subliminal messages! |
Tenacious D – Inward Singing Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This skit is great not just because Jack Black pours himself completely into it, but because it sets the next song (Kyle Quit) up so nicely... PS: Their website is sooo hilarious... (Feb. 2005) |
The Streets – Not Addicted Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't have a problem...I really don't. I can quit whenever I want. ;) Gambling addiction is bad for you kids (especially if you don't know anything about the sport!!) and remember, A Grand don't come for Free I think the whole album sums up the mid-twenties blues fairly well |
Elliott Smith – Needle in the Hay Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Funny, I've always held that when anyone describes a piece of music they are talking more about themselves than of the of the piece. "Needle in the Hay" - A play on the heroin needle and being 'lost' and looking for oneself while dealing with the addiction. |
