i can't believe this is the second comment posted about Glosoli! this song is simply amazing. one of the best Sigur Ros songs ever (but they're all amazing) Takk is an awesome album. I love this song. I think it has something to do with the sun as apparently the idea of the clip (if anyones seen it) was that the kids are looking for the sun. Others are saying this song is the first Sigur Ros love song. |

This is my favorite R.E.M song. I love it. Its about stumbling and stuffing up, then getting up and moving on. It could also be about individuality.
Everybody who like R.E.M must get their "Perfect Circle" DVD which is their live performance in Germany. The live performance of this song is staggering. |

People, this song is about New York. Hence the name.
In this song, Michael is obviously in love with New Yorks beauty and the attatchment he has with it.
I doubt that there is a woman involved, simply because Michael is gay.
He is expressing his love for such a beautiful city.
This is a very simple version of what I think the song is about. R.E.M are much more straight forward as to what their music is about as opposed to their good friends Radiohead. Radiohead are awesome aswell.

The live version is AWESOME, but which version you prefer depends on your mood at the time. The live version is much more relaxing and easy-listening.
This song is so simple and yet so powerful.
The "Spinning Plates" symbolises the state of the world, and how the "Plates" could fall off at any moment.
I love the "Cloud Cukoo Land" part. Isn't Cloud Cukoo Land a level on Mario 64 for Nintendo 64? I might be wrong. lol. |

I love this songs its so traditional Radiohead (The Bends + Ok Computer)
In my opinnion, this song is about the troubles that this world faces, and all the issues that surround us today, such as George Bush, war, terrorism etc.
This song is about going to sleep and escaping from the madness of the world. Probably to Thom, sleep is the only means of escape from the "Monster" that has "taken over." |
