i think they're talking specifically about those days in the summer when it's really lovely & hot outside but you have to go to school/work/college- hence "what a bummer"! & which is why they "live for the weekends" cos they won't be working or the "bleak days of illness and pain" cos they can be home from work/whatever... & the evenings are the "best part of the day" cos they can come home & chill out in the sun :) does anyone else get me?! xXx |

well this song is GREAT! also it has this complete honesty about it... i can imagine thinking that if someone didn't shut up sharpish that my head was just gonna explode. i think it's about a couple who are breaking up & one of them wants to talk everything through & make it clear WHY they're breaking up etc but then the singer just wants to LEAVE the relationship as fast as he can. he doesn't CARE why it's over- it's over & there's nothing he can do to stop that, so he might as well just leave. (that's why he says things like "i don't want you to try & save me... no i don't want you at all" & "if we're through, don't blame me" well that's what i think... anyone got any other ideas? xXx |
