Most bands when talking about Satan are using the character as a way to free themselves from christianity's opression, and as a symbol of the things christianity is trying to get out of man (his animalistic side) |

Black metal is founded upon satan. Read the lyrics to Venom's "Black Metal". Dimmu are definitely not the first band to denounce christianity. and this song is definitely not doing anything to christianity. You have to destroy things like that with intelligence. These lyrics could've been better. Burning wooden churches only funds bigger, more expensive stone churches. Let Dimmu Borgir express their anger with christianity their way.
