Some food for thought. This song was released in mer de noms with Maynard singing it, but, there is a demo version that was released in Europe with the Judith single. This acoustic demo is sang by Billy, all acoustic, different music, but still the same song. Song was written, like a lot of the Mer de Noms songs before Maynard. This song is not about Maynard or Tool. It could relate to that, but it's not. |

I just got today the double CD after waiting a few months. It's by far my favorite song on the CD, the lyrics are great. But I will agree with both of you, in that school shootings just come to mind. But you could take it to a higher step. Nowadays, parents are being less of parents, kids are growing up, getting the idea that they can do anything and everything, and not get in trouble cause mom&dad are going to save them. It sucks. But it's reality. |

Lazy, if that's the case, then you just opened a pandoras box with the song, and itself can be applied to any rise and fall in life itself. Love, Work, Business, Economy, Politics, etc. Do I agree with you? yeah. It can be about their CD, it can be about a dream, it can be about a fantasy or reality itself. IT's so open, I love it. But my problem currently is. "unaquited" Are they trying to say, "she" is something very hard to catch? something that's too far away? I know what the whole verse trying to say, but that line just makes no sense since the word isnt real. Just trying to figure out the meaning of that word. Nevertheless, I have not stopped listening to the song. It's awesome |
