I uploaded the correct lyrics, I don't know why SM has insisted on keeping these here, it's dumb. I even submitted a correction with the correct lyrics again. OH WELL.

Joanna Newsom – Good Intentions Paving Company Lyrics 13 years ago
A lot of Joanna's songs often interweave a couple of different themes, like for instance, "Only Skin" is a composite of 3 different events in her life.

This story seems to have a strong political theme at the start, then turn largely personal at the end. Terms like "waving the flag, feeling it drag", "in a fist fight with the fog", the "tilt to this strange nation", the direct reference to the road to hell being paved with "good intentions", it almost sounds like a commentary on how the United States is quagmired in two dubious "wars".

Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm surprised it's only been mentioned twice, but I definitely think it's about someone losing their virginity, albeit to someone incredibly special and amazing. It's about a night where nothing could possibly go wrong or more right.

This is easily one of the top 10 greatest songs ever, no contest.

Opeth – By the Pain I See In Others Lyrics 19 years ago
I wonder if Mikael is a fan of Brian Lumley and the Necroscope series, because this song perfectly fits with book 1. In short, a vampire is captured and buried alive underground in chains of silver, he's given a second chance to live by luring a young couple to his burial site and using his psychic influence to get them to have sex. Since she's a virgin, she spills blood into the ground and he feeds on it, this also gives the vampire control over them. I dunno just a thought, great song, great books too :D
