Coheed and Cambria – No World for Tomorrow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I want this song playing if there's ever a violent revolution and we storm D.C. |
Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The albatross = Discovery One Watch 2001: A Floyd Odyssey |
Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Google "2001: A Floyd Odyssey." Then you'll understand what this song is about and why it was written. Protip: Kubrick originally wanted Waters to score "2001" |
Panda Bear – Bros Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Song of the year. |
Radiohead – All I Need Lyrics | 16 years ago |
These lyrics are all wrong. |
Radiohead – All I Need Lyrics | 16 years ago |
These lyrics are all wrong. |
Radiohead – Weird Fishes/Arpeggi Lyrics | 16 years ago |
That last minute of this song is fucking incredible. |
Radiohead – Videotape Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Best song on the album, IMO. Is that percussion-esque noise in the background the sound of a train passing by on a train track, repeated over and over? Sure sounds like it. I love it. |
Radiohead – Bodysnatchers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Best Radiohead song in years. In Rainbows is certainly the album of the year. |
Every Time I Die – The New Black Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is fun to play on Guitar Hero II. |
Coheed and Cambria – 21:13 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's an homage to Rush's "2112" |
Minus the Bear – Knights Lyrics | 16 years ago |
dxm's right. it is "this usury's." |
The Mars Volta – Eunuch Provocateur Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Demimonde Lice = the drugs inside Julio's brain. In the 19th century, demimonde was a nice way of saying whore. This song is the last song on Tremulant, and sets the stage for what we see transpire in DITC. In Islam, the Al Sirat is the bridge to heaven, said to be sharper than a sword and thinner than a spider's thread - only pure may cross it. Cerpin, in a way, must travel across his own "Al Sirat" to purify himself and become the leader of the Tremulants. |
The Mars Volta – Drunkship of Lanterns Lyrics | 16 years ago |
In actuality, Julio/Cerpin has begun to slip into his coma after attempting suicide. He's really in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, but in his state, he believes that he's in a submarine/ship of some sort. Just read the story book about this album. |
The Mars Volta – Tira Me A Las Arañas Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Voltan is correct. He has slipped into his coma and is now being taken away. |
The Mars Volta – Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is the beginning of Cerpin Taxt's coma that he has slipped into, along with an allusion to his attempted suicide in the past. He attempted suicide by trying to slit his wrists, hence the use of metacarpi, which is the area between your wrist and your fingers. "Ruse of metacarpi Caveat emptor....to all that enter here Open wrist talks back again In the wounds of its skin" The open wrist is talking back to him, telling him to try to commit suicide again - which he did, and put him into a coma. Now the rest of the songs are about his dream-like state he is in for 7 days. "exoskeletal junction at the railroad delayed" - his body/exoskeleton is no longer working. Just his brain. |
The Mars Volta – Inertiatic ESP Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about Cerpin Taxt slipping into his coma from the rat poison he shot in the song before this.. |
The Mars Volta – Televators Lyrics | 16 years ago |
These lyrics aren't correct. They're riddled with spelling errors, which is probably why so many idiots are claiming that this song means nothing. Anyway, the song is about a former band member's death due to a heroin overdose. |
Menomena – Evil Bee Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Best song on the album, hands down. |
The Receiving End Of Sirens – Smoke and Mirrors Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Nice try, Kandy. But it's not as deep as your pseudo-intellectual brain would like to believe. It's about the music industry. The band has confirmed this multiple times in interviews. |
Coheed and Cambria – Wake Up Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about the writer, and how deeply in love he is with Erica. It's sort of the writer's response to tenspeed, who in the previous song was trying to convince the writer to kill Erica. |
Coheed and Cambria – Apollo I: The Writing Writer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Basically, tenspeed has taken over the Writer's mind and mad because he just discovered Erica with another person. People are reading "I'm burning star IV" incorrectly. Star IV is, presumably, where Erica is living, and since the writer has full control over the story, he is going to burn her planet. "Tonight, I'm burning star IV" - as in, tonight I am going to burn star IV. |
Coheed and Cambria – Apollo I: The Writing Writer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
“This is where we meet the writer and learn his motive. As the writer of this story, can he really be looked upon as a godlike figure to these characters?” Although Writer has been present in the GN thus far, except for a few opening frames with Claudio’s weird dream and waking up on the ship, Writer is coming to terms with his dillusional agenda at this time. During this section, Writer realizes the control he has over the story that he’s had all along and hasn’t understood until now. If he created Ambellina to begin with, he’s realizing he can take her away for his own good. During this time he is justifying his actions to himself by dwelling on images he has in his head of Erica cheating on him with a man who flew in by plane (Writer has images of her affair in the GN). The dialogue in the background of this song is Jesse telling his IRObot children that he loves them and is sorry he hasn’t been much of a father, and that today is the day he dies. The plot will return to this later in Apollo II. |
Coheed and Cambria – Crossing the Frame Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about Claudio/Writer discovering Newo/Ericka in bed with someone else. And that's a fact. |
Coheed and Cambria – Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about the writer conversing with his subconscious, which he calls "Tenspeed." Tenspeed is slowly taking over his mind. |
Coheed and Cambria – Welcome Home Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about the Writer having a vision of binding and dragging a woman to a grave where he is going to kill her. She is begging him not to do it. I'm assuming he is having this vision because of the anger he is feeling towards Erica for not returning to him. |
Coheed and Cambria – Always and Never Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song introduces us to The Writer, the writer of the Armory Wars. Erica is his love interest, presumably from before he even began to write the Armory Wars. He is waiting for Erica to return to him. |
Coheed and Cambria – 21:13 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is about Claudio dreaming about what happened at his house (during the song 'Everything Evil'). He wishes, during this dream, that he could somehow go back in time and warn his mother. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Light and the Glass Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Time has passed and Claudio decides to write a letter Newo. He misses her a lot. Sometime during this song/story he is informed that his parents have died. He thinks about this as he falls asleep, toward the end of the song. |
Coheed and Cambria – A Favor House Atlantic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about Al sniping out members of the Red Army while Claudio, Ambelina and Sizer all try to get inside the House Atlantic, where Jesse is. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Camper Velourium III: Al the Killer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
NEWO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AL. AL FELL IN LOVE WITH AMBELINA BUT SHE DOESN'T WANT HIM. Think of Al as Han Solo. A gun for hire that falls in love with Lea/Ambelina, but she doesn't want him...at first. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Camper Velourium II: Backend of Forever Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Al never raped Newo. Newo isn't even on the ship with them. In this song, he fell in love with Ambelina but she rejected him. He is thinking about killing her. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Camper Velourium I: Faint of Hearts Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is basically about Al and his love - his gun. In the next two songs, he falls in love with Ambelina and she rejects him. He then plots to kill her, but decides not to in the end. The Velorium Camper is the name of Al's ship. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Crowing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about Claudio waking up from his dream 10 years later (the first 3 songs were his dream). A Prise, Ambelina, is cast out, has her wings burned off and forced to become Claudio's guide and informs him that he is a Messiah like figure. Also sometime between this song and the previous one on the album, Claudio found Sizer's body parts, destroyed by the Red Army, and puts him back together. The three of them then go to find Jesse. |
Coheed and Cambria – Three Evils (Embodied in Love and Shadow) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about Sizer, Jesse's child, being tortured by the Red Army after he sacrifices himself to save Chase. He is unable to speak, but the Red Army doesn't know this and continues to torture him. |
Coheed and Cambria – Cuts Marked in the March of Men Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Actually this song is about Jesse and his children Chase, Sizer and Jesse's daughter. She is taken away by the Red Army and Sizer gives himself up for her. Jesse, Chaser and her then flee. In the next song, Three Evils, they torture Sizer on another planet. |
Coheed and Cambria – God Send Conspirator Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is the final battle between Wilhelm and Mariah. Wilhelm kills Mariah in the end. After killing Mariah, Wilhelm realizes she couldn't have been the real Messiah, and that is must be Claudio... |
Coheed and Cambria – Neverender Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about Claudio dealing with the death of his entire family. He begins to write a suicide note, as he was going to kill himself. Instead, though, he decides to move on and to just leave the house forever instead of waiting forever to his parents to return. He then eventually falls asleep. |
Coheed and Cambria – Junesong Provision Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about Cambria just dying, and Coheed dealing with her death. He buries her and just wishes he could die too. Then it goes to Claudio, who is extremely upset about his entire family dying and starts writing a suicide note/goodbye letter to Newo, his girlfriend. Coheed then finds help from people on Earth and gets a ride off the planet, but something happens during the flight (presumably he transforms again and destroys the ship) and the ship crashes, killing Coheed. |
Coheed and Cambria – 33 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Akaneon is wrong. Patrick saw Coheed and Cambria kill their children, and runs away from the house right before the Red Army arrives. After the Red Army deals with Co&Ca, they realize that Patrick needs to be dealt with. He is wounded by them (they presume he is dead) and he is eventually rushed to the emergency room, where he dies/flatlines. |
Coheed and Cambria – Hearshot Kid Disaster Lyrics | 16 years ago |
By the way, Earth is really called Paris:Earth. When the Monstar virus is released by Coheed, it causes an apoclypse of sorts on Paris:Earth, but Mariah survives. Mayo wanted Mariah dead because she poses a major threat to Wilhelm, the current ruler of all the planets and the Keywork. |
Coheed and Cambria – Hearshot Kid Disaster Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about the transport, that Coheed just tore up due to his transformation into the Monstar, crashing to Earth. Only Mayo, Coheed and Cambria survive. Coheed sees cambria in extreme pain and this causes the Monstar virus to transform him again, causing Earth to be knocked out of the Keywork, which Mayo was hoping would kill Mariah in the process - but it didn't. |
Coheed and Cambria – Delirium Trigger Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about Coheed, who is trapped on a transport ship headed for Earth, getting free and tearing apart the ship with his new-found power, caused by the Monstar virus in his blood. |
Coheed and Cambria – Everything Evil Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about Coheed and Cambria killing their children, as they were told to do by Mayo. Monstar is the name of the virus inside Coheed, which will be used to destroy, and kill Earth, and Mariah in the process, once he is sent there. Jesse is Coheed's brother. |
