| well i think this song is absolutely beautiful, whatever it means, though thankyou for the translation :) does it always matter what the meaning is though? though i tend to want to know i just love the beauty of this song, i think its really amazing. and enya is so good at capturing a feeling, this is what a storm in africa would sound like if you put it in music. | |

I reckon this song is about individuality. Say there is a person who is using you and pretending to be your friend. "You whisper up to me in your life of tragedy" lies, to make u feel sorry for them, another excuse for them to cling to u(parasite) pull the tapeworm out of your ass this is something that may hurt a bit at first but in the long run is the best for u. u dont want to be ruled over by a parasite, a "freind" whos just using u and telling u what to do and where to go. U want to be individual. im noot sure about the bit about him sitting in the room with the needle in his hand etc but i reckon maybe..... this is a different person singing. this person didn't "pull the tapeworm ou of his ass" he let this person cling to him. now hes been wound up in drugs which he didnt want. he cld have had a good life but he gave into the parasite. hes waiting to die coz thats all thaats left for him now. it goes back to the moral then, pull the tapeworm out of ur ass...............do it pple! dont let them cling to u! be individual! |
