I love this song and belt it out whenever it's on! I think it has special meaning to the song writer in trying to get a message out to everyone that sometimes we can't be who everyone else wants us to be and that we all try our best to fit in this world. A quote I live by that I think fits this song nicely is "The only way to gain honor in this world is to be who we pretend to be." (Meaning not everyone acts themselves to impress others)

From what I can understand, I think this song is about Cheating and how people shouldn't forgive no matter what the situation may be. If you love someone so much, it makes it even harder to accept, but if you forgive them they will keep walking all over you and finally it will start to take effect on you. Which that's what the last verse is referring to. It sort of took me for a loop, a nice song...and then BAM we're talking about killing the other. You won't be a fool the second time if you don't forgive the first. |
