i was reading a tguk article/interview and matt (pryor) said:

it sounds to me like he left someone and went somewhere to follow his dreams...and hes trying to fix up his new place to make it feel like home, but it doesn't feel quite right because he doesn't want to leave the person behind waiting for him because they've been through so much together...possibly a going off to college story? or maybe thats just the mindset i'm in right now...i really like this song a lot... |

i really really like this song a lot...but sadly it has bad meaning to me...cause my friend and i, we kinda messed up our friendship the same wknd that he told me to listen to this song...so whenever its in my head or hear it i think of that...and it sucks cause its such a good song too....but im trying to get myself over that so i can enjoy the song |

ok, so when i first heard the whole cd, i have to admit i was a bit disappointed...but as i listened to it more and more it started to grow on me, but there were still a few songs that i just wasn't liking at all...(grunge pig, all that i know, worst idea)...but this past saturday i saw the amazing get up kids in concert in austin and i can officially say i love the new cd, they played old songs as well as a lot of the new ones and i even like the three i used to not like. that was just such an amazing experience, and i got to meet (and hug!) 3 of them! i am officially in love with ryan pope *swoon*. so give it a chance, i mean its the get up kids! they're the greatest! |

I got the lyrics by going to www.thegetupkids.net where they have an e-card of this song which I downloaded and listened to over and over to get the lyrics. i've liked dashboard since swiss army romance and i love all the songs...chris is so intense, i feel like i know him, as if he's my close friend because i can relate to every emotion he expresses....this song makes me cry everytime i hear it...the whole chorus "my hopes are so high that you kiss might kill me, so won't you kill me so i'll die happy, my heart is yours to fill or burst, to break or bury, or wear as jewelry, whichever you prefer"....that is just *sigh* amazing, beautiful, so completely great. if he has a girlfriend (which im pretty sure he does) she is so lucky to have someone that could come up with something as amazingly sweet as that...i guess im just a hopeless romantic at heart, but what girl wouldn't kill to hear that from her boyfriend...this is definietly my fave song of the moment... |
