• Bruce "A Living God" Springsteen

by hoagiej on March 19, 2008 Have any of you noticed how godlike Bruce Springsteen is? It's like he has descended from the heavens to grace us with the music of angels. Now, in all seriousness, God/Gods do not exist, but if there was one it would be Bruce. By the way, Bruce is amazing. Oh! And did I mention how awesome Bruce Springsteen is? I would have to say my favorite Bruce song is "Jungleland". It is 9 minutes and 34 seconds of pure orgasmic beauty. Other favorites include "Lost in the Flood", "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)", "Thunder Road", "Badlands", "Growin' Up", "Backstreets", "For You", "Long Walk Home", "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out", "Hungry Heart", "Night", "Atlantic City", "No Surrender", "Dancing in the Dark", "Radio Nowhere", Spirit in the Night", "Out in the Street", "Prove It All Night", "Two Hearts", "Kitty's Back", and, of course, "Born To Run". I do believe "Born To Run" is the greatest rock and roll song in the history of man. The reason I chose "Jungleland" over "Born To Run" was because choosing "BTR" is a bit cliché. So I bet you all are wondering what my favorite Bruce album is. Some of you will probably realize that I have listed 5 songs on Born To Run, 4 on Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ, 3 from The River, 2 from The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, 2 from Born in the USA, 2 from Magic, 2 from Darkness on the Edge of Town, and 1 from Nebraska. I will admit that choosing between Born To Run and Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ is quite difficult. Honestly, it really depends on my mood, my setting and what I have had to eat before or while listening to the album. If I had to choose, I would say Born To Run. It just has such an unbelievable collection of classic ballads and epic stories. In conclusion, Bruce Springsteen is the greatest person to ever walk the face of the Earth. No Comments
