My 14 year old son told me about this song he had heard on a car TV add next time it came on he recorded it on our DVR. he wanted to find out what it was called. I told him I knew this song (Major Tom Going Home.) It had been a long time since I had heard it (the 80's to be exact) he found it very hard to believe that I could love a song he did. Then i told him the story of the song. The first time I had heard the song was when my oldest son had been kidnaped this was before Masao had been born. I had listen to Major Tom over and over feeling the pain he did in thoses last hours. I thought the pain would never go away. But, a few weeks ago i found I could hear Major Tom with out the dark feeling of dread I could hear the beauty in it at last!
