The Roues Brothers are musicians, songwriters, publishers and performers who play in several distinctively different bands. Dig. Billy and Steven “Muddy” Roues have been making music together since they were kids. They are journeymen in the music business, having crossed paths with some of the greats of Blues, Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, Country, Soul, and Rhythm and Blues. The experience of working with those artists and creative people that were and still are mentors and idols to them, whether onstage, in the studio, in films and television or in the songwriting process, has left an indelible mark on the music the Roues Brothers are making today. They continue to write, produce and perform music together as they play in 5 distinctly dfifferent bands: 1. The UpSouth Twisters is a rockin' Zydeco flavored quintet who were formerly known as Lucky 7. 2. Big Jim Wheeler and Wheels of Fire zeros in on classic country, western and rockabilly. 3. Finn and the Sharks is a rockabilly based quartet that dates back to the neo rockabilly revival of the early 1980's. 4. Joe Delia's Thieves evolve out of roots rockin' rhythmn'n'blues. 5. The Roues Brothers delve into all of the above whether playing as a duo, trio, quartet or expanding into a larger ensemble. As songwriters their music has been synched with numerous movies, television shows and even commercials. 4 out of the 5 mentioned bands have released albums on the Brothers own indie label, UpSouth Recordings.
