78Violet are a pop-rock duo who used to be known as Aly & AJ before taking a 5 year break from music. The band members are sisters Alyson and Amanda Michalka. Alyson is an actress and has guest starred in Two and a Half Men, as well as Charlotte in the movie Bandslam and a lead role in the dramady, Hellcats, among others.AJ has also done some acting, starring in the movie Grace Unplugged, among others. AJ has also done soundtracks for the movie Grace Unplugged, and sang It's Who You Are on the soundtrack for the movie Secriteriat. Their first album since their break from music and their name change is said to be released later this year.
