... Rip rouring Rhythm and Blues with a blend of punk experience. Billy's entry into Sherlock Holmes country, excellent band with influences from the equally excellent Downliner Sect. Blues and punk combined to form one of Billy's best bands to date. The band feature Billy on vocals and guitar, Bruce Brand on drums and backing vocals and Johnny 'Tub' Johnson on bass and backing vocals. With the occasional turn around of roles live. Prior to 'Tub' joining the band Allan Crockford (Solar Flares,Phaze, Prisoners, The Prime Movers, James Taylor Quartet - MedwayMagic.org.uk), John Agnew and/or Ollie Dolat played bass.
Thee Headcoats played their final gig at the Dirty Water Club on 12th May 2000 to a capacity crowd.
