Yuck hails from London, England, and is usually a band of four people, sometimes five. Daniel Blumberg (vocals, guitar) and Max Bloom (guitar) are London natives and are both prior members of the band "Cajun Dance Party." Remaining members are Mariko Doi (bass, previous member of Levelload) who is from Hiroshima, Japan, and Jonny Rogoff (drums) is from New Jersey, USA. The sometimes fifth member is Daniel's little sister IIana Blumberg who assists with harmonies on the albums and the ocassional live performance.
The group released their debut single on Transparent Records in 2010 featuring songs "Rubber" and "Georgia". This release was soon followed by their self-titled debut album (self-produced and recorded at home) "Yuck" on February 15, 2011 with Fat Possum Records in the USA, and February 21, 2011 with Mercury Records in the UK.
The members of Yuck produce a lot of "drawings books and sandwiches" when they are not on tour.
