Iron Maiden's The Red and the Black is talking about what is going on in life when you are truly at war not only on the battlefield but in your head as well as what kind of person you may become or what person you have become. These are all of the things that make the red and the Black definitely an interesting song and although it is interesting this isn't new for Iron Maiden. Rather it's Bruce Dickinson or Steve Harris they are both (in my opinion) excellent song writers. Also If you haven't heard this song but have read this (please go listen to the song) because this is one of the absolute greatest songs ever written. You don't have to but I would strongly suggest you give Iron Maiden's the Red and the Black a chance.
