Looks like I'm the first to comment on this one and for some reason that makes me nervous! This is especially true because I haven't got a clue what the song means and I came here hoping to find out. But I'll have a bit of a guess:
Maybe this is about a homeless person having a fantasy about a better life. All the imagery used is about escape (sense of time unravels) and feelings welling up ready to explode into some kind of action (...from earth's hot centre).
I would like to see someone go through the lyrics line by line and explain the intention.
@q107668730 I like your interpretation of a homeless person ... the first verse definitely seems to suggest such a scenario

"Seven thousand eyes are watching
Marching home and no one’s touching
Army of the city workers"

People leaving their work in London and going home (commuters).

"Heading for a quick salvation
Oblivious to cherry cola
Trying to sell to every stranger"

All are eager to leave the CBD and are "blind" (focused / ignore) the everyday sights in the city, such as a homeless person or a peddler of cheap goods. Too caught up in their lives to worry about another.
The rest of the verses aren't so clear, and suggest the narrator is dreaming of what life could be ... it is very dreamy and wistful (doesn't seem much standing in reality).
