I always seem to interpret Pendulum songs in a more dystopian light haha
for this song I always thought that the speaker/s are AI (artificial intelligence). it sounds to me like the parts with the female voice are the AI talking to the only surviving passenger of a ship, the AI being the ship itself, therefore the ship is trying to talk to the human.
'You, you are so precious,
But now you've gone away,
But I am falling apart,
I'll get the waves'
is the ship acknowledging that it is dying. the ship to me also sounds corrupted, possibly due to damage. I could go into more detail but its like, 3 am so..but reply with any questions, I will respond :)
