Lyric discussion by emergency emergency

Well, it's fairly clear what the song is about; there's not a lot of room for misinterpretation here. The song takes a look into the psyche of a mass shooter, specifically, school shooters, as suggested by the childlike references such as "broadcasting from my room / playing with my toys" and "Daddies little psycho, mommies little solider."

Bang-Bang seems to suggest that shooters become obsessed with the idea of fame, to the point where it warps reality, and they see themselves as a hero rather than a villain. They consider themselves martyrs in a war on society, and the more publicized their attacks, the more they "entertain" the American public, and the more fame they receive.

All in all, it's a pretty straightforward song, and, like most GD songs, phenomenal. I can't wait for this upcoming album. In the craziness of 2016, America needs a good dose of green day.
