The song takes a look into the psyche of a mass shooter, specifically, school shooters, as suggested by the childlike references such as "broadcasting from my room / playing with my toys" and "Daddies little psycho, mommies little solider."
Bang-Bang seems to suggest that shooters become obsessed with the idea of fame, to the point where it warps reality, and they see themselves as a hero rather than a villain.
