I believe that going to "Leroy's double-barrel sun" refers to going to a local restaurant called Leroy's Chicken Waffles and Check cashing in Chandler, AZ which is connected to the southeast side of Tempe, AZ where the pups reside. The double-barrel sun part, I believe refers to doing a double dose of "Orange Sunshine" LSD, which came in a tiny 1/8 x 1/4 inch "barrel" which resembled a tin can. This is pretty much speculation, considering about 10 minutes of research. I found that Leroy's is the only internet listed restaurant near Tempe with this name, also a Google search for double-barrel sun was auto-completed to include "shine" after sun, directing me to a message board with people talking about doing barrels of orange sunshine (and often taking double doses.) So, apparently going to eat chicken and waffles while tripping is a thing to do. Kind of explains why he saw fatboy in a devil rabbit costume to me a bit, also... Knowledge overcome seems to refer to having a belief in something that overcomes the knowledge of factual things.
