I think its about a person who tries to be happy but inside is so very sad and messed up. Not an emo people actually have issues. It is hard to pretend to be happy for everyone else when you feel sad. You feel fake and misunderstood. It's about the fakeness of having to always be happy for other people and not being able to be your self with anyone. You cry and cry and try so much to be better and happy but it never happens. You are angry at yourself because you are as fake as everyone else.
