I think it's about a love he once felt, that has since fizzled out. Being stuck in a thing refers to being stuck in a dead relationship, and giving him things is the love interest giving him things; clearly the love interest still loves him, and he feels guilty about not liking them. "But I don't feel them over and over" is self-explanatory. He doesn't feel anything. Happening over and over refers to how it feels like the relationship is repeating itself; it's boring. It's all the same. When he finally breaks the news to them, they don't take it well. But they insist it's not his fault; he can't help how he feels. The second to last verse is a bit confusing, though, leading me to believe my interpretation is incorrect. But, hey, it's the only one here. The last paragraph is about how he's alone now, and he's going to have to work harder now to support himself.
