i always thought this song was about a girl's friend with benefits that is falling in love with her. (if you put two and two together you will see what our friendship is for) she's giving him "everything" so all she wants is for him to be ok with their relationship (last time that we had this conversation i decided we should be friends) and be there for her.
the spice girls are all about girl power! in most media, its the girls that fall in love with boys in a "friends with benefits" relationship, and i feel like the spice girls were sticking a middle finger up at that stereotype. the femdom themes/dudes in bondage in the music video reaffirm this theory for me, anyways!

I was 10 when this came out and I've always loved the music and had the lyrics stuck in my head, but only now, about 20 years later do I actually get what they're singing about; now that I'm involved in an unhealthy relationship with the most beautiful and charming woman in the world, and she just keeps pushing me away because she hasn't got the time right now...but I'm madly in love with her.
