The Black Hand is a reference to the assassin (him holding the gun) I'm not totally sure but I think The Black Hand was the name of some club the assassin belonged to.
Curiously enough, when Franz Ferdinand (the band) was starting out, they played a number of "secret" gigs under the pseudonym "The Black Hands"
