Lyric discussion by Devinicus

Well based on my own interpretation of this song,

"So many reasons Why one should never entertain the taste of the red A cry for a life of innocence is key to her head Keep running back to kill because it might make it easier A fear that keeps you chained down to the ritual adhere You're a slave brought into a dark world of disease (of disease) A slave that's longing for a rich way"

in the first couple of lines how it is stating how there are "so many reasons why one should never entertain the taste of the red" can be another way of stating how one should not give in to their blood lust with the following line continuing to explain how wanting innocence can lead to a form of purity.

in the next couple of lines "keep running back to kill because it might make it easier,a fear that keeps you chained down to the ritual adhere" can be a means of stating to go on and give in because you may be forced to do so anyway, eventually doing so means that it eventually evolves into a form of ritualism as you keep fufiling the blood lust from your inner being.

going on with the theme of giving in to blood lust the next couple of lines " you're a slave brought into a dark world of disease, a slave that's longing for a rich way" can automatically state the enviormental factors of proceeding to carry on with this. One simply born into the time of the crusades is raised to rape and pillage is bound to give into the blood lust and enjoy the proceedings and become wealthy from the spoils of the raid.

so just looking at the opening verse introduced automatically calls forth a message of choosing between moral vs instinct. This is all i'll write for this but as i leave with a quote that clearly summerises this piece of music is "whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster, and when you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you"- Friedrich Wilhem Nietzsche.
