i honestly do not think this song is about "reuniting" with an old friend or boyfriend.
it is about meeting somebody new that she feels liek she needs to know better becuase it is all she can think about "since 18 hours ago"
also when it says "feeling like i ve been missing you all this time" she means that she didnt realize she needed somebody that made her feel like that her whole life and now everything has changed and she needs him.
