What they were going for exactly with this song? I don't know it, and I don't even think I want to know it. To say that it's about drugs and that's it is by far the easiest approach, but I think I do like to see more in it.

I don't think it is complicated at all, the song is about making out with an ugly girl, being in love with an ugly girl, probably while being on drugs. If he is on drugs while kissing, I don't know. The easiest answer would be yes.
