It's the first song she wrote from her new album. She was experiencing huge writers block and found she couldn't write songs anymore. She eventually (thankfully) found her passion for music again and the song is about that time in her life where she knew that she wanted to write songs, she knew the mechanics of how to write a song but the words just weren't coming and she found the music she was straining just wasn't inspired or doing what she wanted to. She described this song as 'a love song to music'. She's saying that music is the thing that makes her happier than anything else and that all she wants is to go backs to the time 'before this winter', before this block and to the time where music came so naturally.
