I'm not religious either, but the lines: "Changing from nothing to one" and "I'll leave you one broken man whom I'll teach you to repair" seem to speak of transformation from non-belief to salvation or spiritual awakening. At the same time it parallels a story of a relationship between a man and a woman. Brilliant!
