My take on this song is that there will always be someone out there, even if that person is the person that you would least expect, that would be your best soul mate, and who will be there for you whenever you need it.
When the song first begins by saying, "The day I first met you, You told me you never fall in love, But now that I get you, I know fear is what it really was" That was probably because you just met the person, and don't really think that that person is right for you, for you don’t know much about the person, and on top of that, you’re scared for many reasons.
