It's clearly about a failing relationship. The narrator seems to be lamenting over how bad the relationship is. I really like the "cause we are made of passing dreams..." stanza, it really shows how pessimistic the narrator is.
I don't really have a clue about what "we use the same product for our hair" is suppose to mean. My best guess is that the only reason the couple is still together is because they are physically attracted to each other, though their is no emotional attraction.
