I think its just a song about how civilization has tended to pride itself as better than tribal or "less complex" societies (Native Americans, Africa) and how this has caused many deaths... He sees it as unjust so he's defending/honoring those people.('s rights.)
It has an off-vibe to it that makes it hard to really jam to... Random note, it just made me think, I remember one of their other songs having a quote something along the lines of In Africa music is used more as a means of communication than it is used for aesthetic value. Shame cuz this song could probably rock harder, lol.
