To me, I'm Asian so the whole western/asian superiority maturity thing sounds so dubious. I don't think, Orient = Asian thing, more like 'orient'ation, in the sense of direction. I think this is a love song to the sun, a song about the interaction between the earth and the sun, which explains all the sun imagery. 'Western' - the sun rises in the east and sets in the west; the sun is "restless" because it is always rising and setting, 'move to the other part of it' in the sense where it is setting in one half of the world, it is rising in the other, after dark, etc.

To me, the "western feeling" is the mood of a sunset, where the sun is setting but its 'heart' of warm sunshine that makes us happy, the beauty of a sky during sunset: 'this colour, this summer night', it is still with us and gives us a feeling of peacefulness and quiet pleasure (in the way the melody of the song does for me :) )
